HOW DO I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?
You will need to let the technician know what problems you are experiencing and where, so they know where to start. They will identify what bee species you are dealing with and understand where hives are located. Once all potential nesting areas are identified, our technicians will help to remove any unwanted hives on your property.
ARE BEES DANGEROUS?
In many ways, bees are incredibly beneficial. They help pollinate 80% of our gardens throughout the country, including the crops we eat. However, if threatened, certain species do sting – which can cause different reactions among different people. Some people are severely allergic to bees and can end up hospitalized or worse if they are stung. Carpenter bees also create holes in the wood in your home, causing damage to its structure.
CAN I DO IT MYSELF?
It’s best to handle a bee population with the help of a professional pest control company. They cannot simply be killed, because any residue of a hive, such as wax and honey, can attract a new swarm of bees or other pests. This means a professional will have to come and remove it.
